What Should I Do to Work as a Nurse and Midwife in Germany?
To work as a nurse or midwife in Germany, you need to have your diploma from the relevant field and be at the B1 German level (independent language use). For this, you should attend a B1 German course (if you are in Istanbul, Sprachportal offers a B1 language course; if you are in another city, you need to take the B1 German language course in your location). You also need to pass the TELC level exam conducted at our Istanbul exam center.
After passing the B1 German TELC exam, the Sprachportal group will prepare the necessary procedures for your transition and start the legal processes in Germany, allowing you to take a step towards a new life.
How?
After arriving in Germany, you will start a B2 language course while simultaneously working as a caregiver assistant in the institutions (such as nursing homes) we have agreements with for your professional adaptation process. During this time, you will work approximately 160 hours per month, starting with a gross income of €2,000.
After successfully passing the B2 exam and having your vocational diploma equivalency approved by the relevant German authority BAMF (Federal Office for Migration and Refugees), you will be granted permission to practice your profession as a nurse or midwife.
Once you pass the B2 exam and the equivalency is established, you will gain international experience in your profession while also receiving a salary that matches your qualifications.
